Copying a Single SD Card

Continuing the discussion from Duplicating microSD cards:

I’d need more detail to guess why your copies don’t work. The very easiest way to make a single copy of a working microSD card is to use your Raspberry Pi. With the Pi running the existing card, put the new card in a USB adapter, plug it in to a USB port on the Pi, click the Raspberry on the top left, then “Accessories” and “SD Card Copier.”

You can also download the workshop image (which now has the corrected handout!) from the link on this page and use balenaEtcher to make copies using a Mac or Windows computer.

I’ve written a lot of stuff about making multiple copies of an SD card.
